Subject: Application for relief
goods for the flood affected people of Rayhanpur Union.
Dear Sir.
I, the undersigned, in favour of
the inhabitants of Rayhanpur Union under Patharghata Thana, would like to draw
your kin attention to an urgent issue which has been a burning concern within
just seven days. As you are well informed about the fact that our area has been
badly affected by the recent unprecedented flood which irreparably destroyed
most of the houses. Uprooted almost all types of trees washed away the cattle
and other pet animals, and above all, fully destroyed the trees. As you visited
many small areas like ours. You saw they look like a deserted ones where is
indescribably scare. Our grandparents are surprisingly commenting that they have
never faced this type of natural calamity be forced and the aftermath is just beyond
control of anyone. We are sure you read the inconsolable news of the death toll
which has reached to number 10 and still some 200 people are suffering from
different types of water borne diseases like cholera and dysentery. The badly
affected ones are our beloved children of different age groups and some
pregnant mother. There are some families which are about to perish because of
the scarcity of food. Shelter, treatment and clothing. If immediate assistance
is not ensured. The death toll will be beyond anyone’s control and then no
steps will work properly as there surely will be a point of no return.
Under the circumstances like
these. We expect and hope from a distinguished TNO like you, to extend your
helping hand and also request you to take all necessary steps to mitigate the
deadly crisis by sanctioning and distributing the required relief goods without
delay.
